Again & Again & Again
Its that time of the year where it is Pooram/Vela everywhere. On the way to Mangode from Olavakkode passed through kunnapullikavu. Kavu Vela was on the previous night. If my memory is right i have not seen any pooram/vela till now. Those scenes of tablows , lighting of temple, people sleeping roadside, compounds etc were once again reminded me how people are involved and how culturally rich my motherland is! I am missing them a lot.....
Pooja at tharavaadu was just another unforgettable experience. Like always , I did enjoy company with all my relatives. I did engage myself in whatever little i could do during the pooja. Four persons came from Pathiri Kunnathu Mana for performing the rituals. The interaction between themselves was most enjoyable. One thing which struck me was when the main person among them told how non-hindus are also following naga pooja related rituals. One example as he told - "there is one non-hindu who purchased some land. He was told that Naga pooja has to be performed regularly on that land. Then he approached people at the Mana and told that whatever expenditure is there for the pooja, he is ready to bear and he will keep himself away. But pooja should be performed without fail". Interesting and Just amazing....
For the first time had a nice ride on a bike on the busy highway. Had nannaari sarbath. Evening before leaving back, spent nice time refreshing myself in the kunthi river...
On the way back to olavakkode, noticed that mundur vela was also round the corner.....
Hopefully, during coming years i will make it to atleast few of the poorams/velas...

Lee The Legend
Yesterday was truly a very special day. Had the lifetime opportunity of watching Indian Davis cup doubles team in action at KSLTA, cubbon park. Me and a friend/colleague were so lucky that we sat just behind Indian Team .
Leander is just an amazing human. The way he was interacting with members was heartening to see. Even he was taking care of his daughter during the match! Everyone has a lot to learn from him. Even though opponents were weak, it was a special feeling to watch players so close. Day was more special because at the beginning there was a felicitation for legendary Indian tennis players namely ramanathan and ramesh krishnans, anand amritraj, mukherjee, bhupathi and paes himself.
Truly it was a memorable day

Giving a miss
Today, I was supposed to attend a function at native. I had even booked ticket for onward journey. But from past few days, office work is troubling me. Even I am forced to bring few left over work to home. As a result, today held up with official work and missed the trip. Hopefully things will change in the coming months. Fingers crossed.
